In part one of this two-part blog series, we went over some of the more unique methods of utilizing a hot tub on your property. While some of the most common such uses are well-known, hot tubs are actually more versatile products than most realize — and they often have a number of other applications that might be useful for you in one way or another.
At Dolphin Pools & Spas, we’re happy to offer the very best selection of hot tubs and spas in Utah, including our role as an authorized dealer of Bullfrog Spas, one of the single top names in this industry. We’ll get you the ideal hot tub for any need, even if you plan to utilize it in some unique ways. What are some other examples of lesser-known hot tub uses? Here are a few.
Use as a Home Office
It may sound crazy to some people, but if the last couple years have shown us anything, it’s that some of the traditional confines of working don’t really matter that much. And for those who work remotely already, having a home office can be a major game-changer. If you’re someone who tends to get chilly easily, working from a hot tub might sound ideal — and it can actually be quite practical, as well.
You don’t need to bring your laptop into the water with you (though there are waterproof cases available if you really want to). Instead, you can set up a small table and chair next to the hot tub, along with any other materials or devices you might need. Then, when it’s time to take a break or step away from the work for a bit, you can just hop in the tub and relax.
Hot Tub as a Meditation Space
This is a use that might not be for everyone, but it can definitely be effective. If you find it hard to clear your head and relax, spending some time in a hot tub can actually help you to focus and center yourself. The warmth of the water and the jets can work together to create a calming, meditative space for you to unwind in.
Just be sure that you take some basic precautions if you plan to meditate in the hot tub. Make sure that the water is at a comfortable temperature, and avoid using any fragrant oils or products that might be distracting. You should also make sure that you stay hydrated, as it’s easy to become dehydrated when sitting in hot water.
These are just a few of the unique ways that you can use a hot tub on your property. For more here, or to learn about any of our quality hot tub options, speak to the team at Dolphin Pools & Spas today.
