There are many great things about owning a hot tub, and one is all the different ways you can go about utilizing it. While simple forms of relaxation and calming are some of the most well-known ways many people go about utilizing their hot tubs, there are also several other formats you might consider depending on your needs and preferences.
At Dolphin Pools & Spas, we’re happy to offer Salt Lake City’s best selection of quality hot tubs, including our role as an authorized dealer of high-quality Bullfrog Spas. In this two-part blog series, we’ll look at some of the many ways you may consider utilizing your hot tub, including some you may not have even thought of before.
Low Temperature
Let’s start with one use of the hot tub that’s immensely popular during the Utah summer we’re sitting in right now: The use of the tub for cooling purposes. Water temperatures on most hot tub models can be lowered to around 60 degrees Fahrenheit, making them perfect for use on those hot days where all you really want to do is jump in a pool but don’t necessarily want to get your hair wet.
This can be a great way to relax and cool off at the end of the day, enjoying the jets and other features of your hot tub while also keeping your body temperature regulated. Many people find that they sleep better on nights where they’ve used their hot tub for cooling purposes due to the fact that their body is more relaxed.
Use in a Second Home
For those who are lucky enough to own a second home – whether that’s a vacation property or simply a place you like to get away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life – hot tubs can be a great addition.
If you only use your second home on occasion, you may want to consider one of our portable hot tub models. These are easy to set up and take down as needed, meaning you don’t have to worry about leaving your hot tub out in the elements when you’re not using it.
On the other hand, if you’re someone who spends a significant amount of time in your second home, a more permanent installation may be a better option. Not only will this save you time in the long run, but it can also be a great way to add value to your property.
There are many other ways to utilize a hot tub beyond those we’ve looked at here, and in our next blog post, we’ll explore a few more.
